Roast Pork with Jonno’s Worcestershire Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 2-lb Pork shank, bone-in
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 T peppercorns
  • salt as desired

Instructions

  1. Rub pork with minced garlic and cut slits around it and stick sliced garlic all over.
  2. Cook whole pork half covered in water with bay leaf and peppercorns for about 1 ½ to 2 hours till tender when pierced with a fork.
  3. Drain the pork and let it dry for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  4. Bake in 425 degrees for about 1 hour till crispy on the outside.
  5. Serve whole or cut up in serving pieces with Jonno’s Worcestershire Sauce.
  6. Garnish with tomatoes, cucumber or onions.  Enjoy!

Notes

  • Alternatively, you can skip the boiling and bake pork in broiler pan at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.  Let fat drip on second pan.   Bake to desired doneness till crispy on the outside.
  • Service with your choice of vegetables and rice, potatoes or noodles.  Enjoy!
